Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses SportCover NI at sportcoverni.co.uk. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: admin@sportcoverni.co.uk.

1. What SportCover NI is

SportCover NI is an online directory connecting sports clubs in Northern Ireland with practitioners, coaches, media professionals and students. Clubs post Jobs (including placements and internships) and Casual Cover. Practitioners create profiles and apply. SportCover NI is not an employer, recruitment agency or party to any arrangement between a club and a practitioner, does not take commission and does not handle payments between clubs and practitioners.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16, give accurate information and keep your password secure. One person or club per account. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Subscriptions and prices

  • Practitioner plan: £5 per month. Student plan: £3 per month (for people currently enrolled at a university or college). Club plan: £10 per month.
  • Browsing is free. A subscription is needed to publish a profile, apply, post listings and review applicants.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; changes apply from your next billing date.

4. Promo codes

Promo codes are issued at our discretion, can be used once per account, have no cash value and may have an expiry date. Discount codes apply to the first month only unless stated otherwise. Free lifetime memberships granted by a promo code are personal, non-transferable and continue while SportCover NI operates and the account follows these terms; we may withdraw a code that has not yet been used, or a membership obtained by misuse.

5. Cancellation, failed payments and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for; you keep access until then and will not be charged again unless you reactivate. If a payment fails, Stripe retries automatically and your access continues for up to 7 days; if payment is not recovered, subscription features are suspended until you resubscribe. As a consumer you may cancel within 14 days of first subscribing for a refund, less any period already used. Otherwise, partial months are not refunded except where the law requires.

6. Profiles, listings and approval

Practitioner and club profiles are reviewed by an administrator before they are published. Listings go live immediately but may be removed. All information must be accurate and lawful. Qualifications, registrations and documents are supplied by practitioners and are not independently verified by SportCover NI — clubs are responsible for their own checks, including any safeguarding or Access NI checks, before engaging anyone.

7. Reviews

Reviews can only be left after a club confirms it worked with a practitioner, must be honest and based on real experience, and are checked before publication. The person reviewed may post one public reply. We may reject, hide or remove reviews or replies that are abusive, misleading or breach these terms.

8. Acceptable use

Do not post false, discriminatory, offensive or unlawful content, impersonate others, misuse other members’ contact details, scrape the site, or try to get around subscriptions or security. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

9. Liability

We provide the platform with reasonable care and skill but do not guarantee that you will find work or staff, or that listings and profiles are accurate. We are not responsible for arrangements, payments or disputes between clubs and practitioners. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. Our total liability to you is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will show the latest date above, emailing you about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and its courts have jurisdiction.
